Our client required the complete framework and fully automated logic diagrams for controlling a biomass to energy 9.9 MWe power plant. Coordinating between their electrical and PLC departments, we provided consultancy services and created the complete flow diagrams for their PLC department.

Upgrade S5 to S7-1500 PLC

An old boiler installation needed to upgrade their PLC from Siemens S5 to Siemens S7-1500 and user friendly SCADA system. The aim of the project was to do the upgrade and restart in only a few days shutdown. And to provide a SCADA system that operators without computer experience could easily manage.

Creating a Joint Venture

The challenge was to create a sustainable JV between a Belgian and an Indian company. The main effort went into the technology and market sharing where getting all personnel levels of the organisations to enjoy and respect their counterparts thus produce a viable and sustainable working environment.

Install MDF Factory

This project involved the supervision of erection and the commissioning of a 65 MWth heat production unit. Producing steam, hot gas and thermal oil from a single biomass burning source, the installation has a complex mechanical and control system set up to guarantee tight tolerance distribution of heat.

This project was complex as it required the commissioning of a completely new concept in the industry. The complexity was in that the control system of the client's machinery directly influenced the stability and controls of our system, so creating a team between companies was paramount to realise success.

This project brought a range of new technologies and multiple turbines that needed to be commissioned. The biomass fuel used for burning also presented many of its own challenges in stabilising a controlled and reliable experience for the client. The results were better than the guarantees.

This project involved creating a SCADA interface for a new type of wind tubrine, complete with user and technician interfaces. Then we set up an off-site monitoring system and trained the overseas the electrical support team to continue the development the further fine tune to interface and parameters.

10 Year Old Project

This project was only 90% installed and then abandoned. The new client bought and started it up 10 years later. On a tight budget, we had to repair and restore all equipment where possible and then commission the plant to full capacity, and train the personnel on dealing with the older technology.

This client needed a data collection database and analysing software to interface with his machinery. Doing this with Microsoft SQL Server and interfacing to a Siemens PLC, a complete reporting system was created to help improve efficiency, operations and management of the plant.

Decentralised Medical System

The client needed a simple-to-use but complex decentralised medical management system which connected all the surgery locations. With patient data security as important, the system was setup with redundancy to avoid loss of data and even stolen equipment made the data unusable to the thief.
